September 1998 Moms Midwest Gathering

Midwest Gathering April 2000, Chicago! :)

Four of our September 1998 Moms and their families were able to meet in Chicago in April 2000. It was such a good time!

Désirée:
"Christopher had to work until 1 p.m. and we had to drive in 2 1/2 hours (horrible road construction, look even longer :( ) and so when we got there Susan, Randell (DH) and Elisabeth, Mary, Michael and Kevin, Pam and Jack were already waiting for us. We met in the lobby of the beautiful Hilton Palmer House Hotel, and we got there at about 4:45. It was so nice to meet everyone and see Pam again (see Midwest meeting 1998)!! They are all super sweet, and the kids were so well behaved. And they were all sooo cute! Kevin and Jack are going to be heartbreakers, and Elisabeth with her beautiful eyes and blond hair is going to be too!!! And it was so nice to put real faces with names. :) :) :)
We talked for a few minutes then decided to go eat. We went to Brennens (is that the name of the place? lol!) and had a very nice meal and just talked like we'd been friends forever. :) Poor Elisabeth fell asleep either on the walk over or during the wait for a table and slept the entire time. She only woke up as we were finished.
Unfortunately that's all we got to do, go out to dinner :( It was about 7pm I think when we were finished our dinner and said our good-byes. We only got a few pictures before we went to eat, and of course I didn't have any FILM in my camera!!!! Thank goodness Susan's pictures turned out!
It was great fun! I can't wait to get together again!!!!

Pam:
Hey! I was going to write in today about our visit too. Des did a good job of describing our meeting. A short but sweet visit it was.
I hadn't seen Des in almost two years and hadn't seen Mary for about one year. Hard to believe that much time has passed. It was real special being able to meet Susan and Elisabeth since they live so far away."
