Upon The Rocky Shore

The boats were tied up tight,

Upon the rocky shore.

A mighty Storm was coming in,

So they could sail no more.

People stood, and watched with awe,

As waves built up with force.

Knowing that the storm could take,

Away their lives resource.

Winds were blowing, from the East,

And made it hard to stand.

Hoping the lord above,

Would lend a helping hand.

The waves would batter everything,

That came within their reach.

It was no longer safe to stand,

And watch upon the beach.

Shelters were so quickly sought,

To stay safe from the storm.

Altogether they could be,

Someplace dry, and warm.

All the folks bowed down, and prayed

They all seemed mighty calm.

Asking from the lord above,

To save them all from harm.

Then as quickly as it came,

The storm, it went away,

There was a rainbow in the sky,

To brighten up the day.

Everyone began to cheer,

And jump around with glee.

The rocky shore was calm again,

Twas the splendor of the sea!
