... may have been a brother or a cousin [to Archibald Nixon]. He enlisted in Lincoln County where he was born and lived, on March 25, 1862. He was 34 years old. He was wounded in the left shoulder, July 3, 1863 at Gettysburg. He returned to duty in September-October, 1863. He was captured at Bristoe Station, on October 14, 1863, and became a P.O.W. until March of 1864. Returned to duty in May-June 1864.
