Goldstar's Don't Stop Me Now - (11/27/90)
Chaunie lived up to her name from day one. The only surviving puppy
from her litter, she became independent and hated to slow down for
attention. She pranced, she danced, and she never failed to take at
least Group Placement at the puppy matches! This little girl showed
tremendous potential.
Sadly, not all things turn out for the better. Chaunie developed
cateracts which were discovered at the surprising age of only 11
months old. But every cloud has a silver lining, it seems. Chaunie
became the best rescue tool in the program.... that is, she will meet
a new dog, take to it just like she was it's mother, and then she
will continue to push, bark, harass, and paw until it starts playing
too!
Now 8 years old, Chaunie has become much more loving after she ate
something in the fall of 1996 that punctured internal organs and sent
her to surgery. It took a team of 3 working on her for 2-1/2 hours to
save her life. Eight days later, she came home. And although she
still eats anything she can find, she enjoys those hugs much more....
