It's a jungle out there!!!!!
So much good can be found out in cyberspace, but for all the wonders a person may view, there is also far too much bad. Each month, this site will bring you a few of the places I have discovered or that have been suggested to me for review. I will then explore each for individual good and bad points, and report what I find right here for you to read. As with anything, this will of course, be based on personal experience and opinion. When in doubt, you can check it out for yourself. And if I'm wrong, let me know. Sometimes things can be overlooked.

SAMFANS. If you love Samoyeds and want to share the experience with 500 or more other people who are just as dedicated, this is for you! Rules against advertising are strict but fair, and very appropriate. I have personally been on the listserve since 1995, and it has proven to be one of the finest sources of support I have ever seen. |

TALK ABOUT DOGS. A delightful list for all breeds! I was a bit worried at first about joining an all-breed listserve, but I was immediately made to feel welcome, and the people on Albert's list are downright nice! I have found the topics to be suitable for the whole family, and cheery for the most part. The occasional sorrow over a lost friend brings out the kindness of others, and it really is sincere. Consider joining this listserve! |

THE VILLIAGE. A low volume listserve for people subscribed to cities within The Villiage. Yes, the name really is spelled that way, for a reason. A nice little fun site for every breed, but the mail is mostly oriented around site improvements. |

DOG RESCUE. At first I thought this listserve was ok, but a bit of time quickly taught me I was mistaken. The listserve itself is based around helping dogs via rescue, and provides valuable information about transportation and situations. The people are generally very willing to assist. However, communications problems slow things down. Worse, the list Administrators suffer from God Complex Syndrome, and moderate more on a whim than necessity. It's a shame really, because the list itself is helpful. I do recommend this site because of its nature, but be very, very careful not to sound aggressive or you will be restricted from posting without approval on everything ahead of time. |
