LETTERS TO
SANTA AND MRS. CLAUS
Dear Santa
How do you visit my house.  We don't have a chimalee big for you to jump down it
                                   Karen

Dear Karen,
Santa has many ways to to deliver your gifts.  At your house I parked the sleigh and reindeer in your driveway.  The only problem I had with that was Dasher started to make noise when your Grandmother's dogs began to bark.

Then your Grandmother put her head out the window and asked me to please quiet Dasher.
I said okay and told your Grandmother to go back to bed before I delivered her gifts.

Then I used my magic key and came in your house and put all the gifts for you and your family under the tree.  Then I ate the sandwich and drank the milk you left for me.  Thank you, Karen it was very good.

Since you moved and now have all your rooms on one floor it will be easier to deliver your presents and not wake your Grandmother at least until I get to her house.

Karen,  try to be a good as possible.  I noticed from Arthur's report that you have improved so much this past year.

                                                      Love, Santa

Dear Santa,
Last year you left me a yellow truck to dump things with.  Can I have a bigger truck like this this year.  Mommy said I have been good.  Tell Cosmo I play soccer and i also play baseball.  Does Cosmo play baseball too.
                                                    Jason

Dear Jason,
Since your Mommy said you have been a good boy I think Santa can give you a bigger truck.  There is one thing I would like you to do for Santa.

Your Mommy said she still has a hard time getting you to go to bed on time.  I know this is hard to do but when Mommy tells you to go to bed please do as she says.  You can lay in bed and close your eyes and think about playing soccer or baseball.  Sometimes playing pretend games in your mind is a lot of fun.

Cosmo wants you to let him know how to play baseball.  Please write to him with the rules of the game.  Be good

                                                  Love, Santa

Dear Mrs. Claus,
       What is Santa's favorite meal?

                                           Shannon

Dear Shannon,

For vegetables Santa likes cold Cut Beans, Chick Peas, Beets, and Mushrooms mixed with Russian Salad dressing. For desert Santa likes Black Cherry Jello.

Shannon what is your favorite meal.

                                          Lots of Kisses, Mrs. Claus

Dear Mrs. Claus,
Does Santa ever get on your nerves because my baby sister always gets on mine.
                               Sara

Dear Sara,
Yes, Santa sometimes gets on my nerves and I know sometimes I get on Santa's nerves.

Every person has their own personality and living in a family helps us to understand a little of how to cope when someone does get on your nerves.

Your little sister is at an age when everything is new and different.  She wants to know why this and why that.  She wants to understand why she can't do the same things you do.  This can get on your nerves.

Maybe to cope with this you can set aside a little time each day to answer all her questions.  You can help her understand in every family there's Family time, Your time, and her time.

Have your Mom and Dad help you explain when it's Your time to do what you want she can not bother you.  Tell her you will play with her at Family time or Her time if she wants you to play.

Then the next time your little sister gets on your nerves count to ten, smile and remember you have Your time alone to look forward to.

                                          Hugs and Kisses,
                                               Mrs. Claus

Dear Mrs. Claus,
      What is your first name?
                               Stan

Dear Stan,

       My first name is Anna.

                            Hugs and Kisses,
                               Mrs. Claus

Dear Santa,
Can I have a new brother.  The one I have now doesn't like me at all.  He always fights with me.

                                   Jenna

 Dear Jenna,

This is a problem brothers and sisters have had for years.  Your brother loves you but sometimes he may not like what you do.  I am sure you feel the same.

The best way I know to avoid a fight is to find out what you fight about.  Maybe it's over a game you both want or chores that you both do.  Make a list of your chores and sit down with your parents to talk about the best way to handle the problem. Then list the other reasons you fight.  Helping to correct problems for their children is one of the many things parent do really well.

And please remember it takes two to make a fight.  So the next time as hard as it will be walk away and talk to your parents.  I hope this helps.  Please write and let me know.

                                                Love,
                                                  Mrs. Claus

Dear Santa,
I've been a really good girl this year and the only thing I want for Christmas is snow. I live in Florida so it never snows. Please Santa.
                             Robyn

Dear Robyn,

I know you have been really good this year.  I only wish I could make it snow in Florida for you.  I also wish I could have some of your Florida weather at The North Pole.

Maybe your town will do what they do in California.  One day they close the local park and bring in snow-making machines.  The park is transformed into a winter wonderland. Write or have your parents write to your city offices and see if they can do this.

Your Grandmom who lives where it snows has been wanting a white Christmas for years.  She told me if it snows on Christmas maybe you can visit her.

Also Robyn, never say never.  I remember when it did snow a little in Florida.

Write and let me know how you make out.

                                                     Love,
                                                       Mrs. Claus
