Sadequain               

Amroha is a wonderful small town, now a district, almost half-way between the two great centers of Urdu literature; Lucknow and Dehli. Amroha in this setting earns a recognition of its own by producing generations of great personalities and specially, reknowned poets, writers, artists, speakers of majalis (zakireen), and philosophers who left their marks as trend-setters in their respective contemporaries.

From Abul Fazil of the Moghul Emperor Akbar-the great's Court, to Ustad Mus-hafi, Mir Saadat Ali of Mir Taqi Mir's friends to Naseem Amrohvi of late twentieth century, Raees Amrohvi to Jaun Ailia, Mohammed Taqi to Hilal Naqvi, Sadequain to Iqbal Mehdi, literature, arts, philosophy were all too common in this wonderful small land.
