A Starting Breaker Failure

This is a
starting Breaker for a 100 Megawatt Pump/generator
It used to have square termination boxes on the sides. It is located on
top of a powerhouse.
As you can see the covers were blown all over the place. Look at the one
on the column.
The breaker is used to start 100 Megawatt pump/Generators. The generators
are used as pumps to pump water up to a holding reservoir. They draw 10,000 amps and start
with 6.6 kV till they get moving then run on 13,800 Volts.
Here you can see that the interrupters are blown off of their supports
On this one you can see that the whole interrupter is missing. The top is
also missing on this
This
is the switch that tried to close for the 13,800 volts to run the unit.
