The Voodoo
Jillian now 'wanted to be lead off batter' because as she said she wanted to score that first run. A quick hit mean she was on her way getting that run. An batter later she was called out at home trying to beat the wild pitch and tag. Later in the top of the first Brook and Freja managed to get the 'Hearts an early 2 run lead. It didn't last long as the Voodoo managed to get to Bayleigh to four runs before she really settled into her game.
In the second, the 'Hearts had problems just like the night before when they commited a triple play - Bayleigh ran to first on a dropped third strike. However, first base was occupied so that forced one out, Haley was tagged going home while Brooke tried to take second. It all happened so fast that most were not sure what had happened and why.
Bayleigh took charge of the game in the second inning with her finest pitching yet and got the Voodoo out in four batters while giving up only one run. Suddenly it was a 5-3 ballgame.
By the third inning the SweetHearts came alive scoring almost 'at will' on a series of walks and timely hits. The 'Hearts put seven runs on the board to take a 10-5 lead with time running out. Voodoo managed a quick two runs but then Bayleigh shut them down and held on as the "SPAR time limit rule' ended the game at 10-7.

"After what happened in our first game of the year the SweetHearts were feeling good going into their second game. The pitcher felt better and everyone seemed to know what to do and the gitters seemed gone.
