TRAINS UNLIMITED
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Welcome fellow train lovers of both real, and model railroading.
I am a true die hard fan of both model and real railroading. At present I own about 20 to 25 model trains. I have just started to collect a G scale train. I like it but prefer N more. My collection includes 9 to 10 HO scale trains, 3 O scale, and 1 G. Every year it grows. Soon I will have to stop buying due to lack of space.
Since about age 5 or 6 I always been interested in trains. I always listened to all the stories my grandfather, great uncles, friends and family had to tell me. It runs in my blood I guess. Almost every man in my mothers family worked, lived, and even died while working with and on trains.
Right now and for the past 4 to 5 years I have worked at a local train museum in my hometown of Huntingdon at the Hunt Tower which was in use as a switching tower until 1985. I would like to take a moment to thank the following people-- Tom Hoover- Train engineer and creator of the Hemi engine used in most Chryslers, Bob McCaferty- Past President of Hunt Tower, Tom Barran-- Newest
Member of the Hunt Tower Commity- Joel Steel Present President of Hunt Tower, Ned Howe- Hunt Tower Member, and anyone else that has anything to do with or in the Hunt Tower Transportation Museum.
Back to my family and the railroad. My family has worked on the railroad for nearly 60 years. I would like to carry on this tradition when I am able to work for any of the railroad Corporation.
Story and train rosters as printed in the Hunt Tower Dispatch Volume 7 issue 1. For you train buffs that Like to watch Conrail,CSX,Norfolk Southern, and Amtrack here are some rosters as of the winter of 1997-98. Starting with Conrail. * = TO BE RETIRED.

THE TESTIMONY OF BOOMER BILL
There had been a railroad accudent in which several people were injured. Some lawsuits resulted and in the trial of the first case, the attorney for the defense had as one of his principal witness an old "Boomer" brakeman.
After properly identifying him and establishing his status as a witness the attorney said : " Now Bill, I want you to tell this jury all you know about this alleged axxident. Where you were and what you were doing, where the other members of your train crew were and what they were doing, where the train was located and all the other facts and curcumstances in connetion with the affair. Just turn right to the jury and tell them the whole story in your words."
Bill was rasther embarrassed and looked doubtungly at the
judge, who nooded to him and indicated he should proceed. Bill switched his quid into the other jaw, turned to the jury and told his story:
"We was heading' south with 456-32 loadds and 10 empties and we had a meet order with 2 for 149 at 4:15. There was a dynamiter in drag and it looked like we was goin' to stab 149 about 15 but the bronco guit buckin' and the hogger wheeled them, so we got to 149 at 4:10. We went in the cild end of the passin' track and closed the gate, drifted down to abouth ten lengths from the south target and groinded the kettle. The hoghead got down and went greasun' her ankles and the tallowpot was in the cab hustlin' dimonds. Cap was back in the crummie shufflin' tissues and the hund-shack
was in the doghouse bullin a Yahoo that was dead-headin' on a Zulu outfit.
Me, T was sittin' on the pilot waitin' tp twist the monkey's tail and head out on the main when 2 cleared.
I senn her Comin' trough the cut and she was workin' steam and
puttin' up a feather. Hogger cut off at the limit board and she come in greasin' at about 25. When she passed the target, the ponies split the switch and they took the siding. Thw hogger big-holed her butshe jumped the rabbit and took to the country. I seen a smash was comin' and joined the bird gang. I hit the cinders yellin' " Spread yer wings, fellers." and when they came together, I was on the other side of the main scrathin gravel. I
dodged into the palace and told the brass pounder to tickle the Supe and tell him we had two on one spot and there was hell to pay"
The above is an actual account of the testimony from a trial handled on behalf of the AT&SF by Attorney Luther Hudson esq.
