Old Fashioned Meat Loaf

1½ lbs. lean ground beef
3/4 cup quick oats
½ cup chopped onion (you may use 1½ tea. minced)
½ cup catsup or salsa
1 egg
½ teaspoon salt (optional)
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Heat oven to 350º F. Combine all ingredients; mix well. Press firmly into 8x4 in. loaf pan or shape into loaf and place in 8x8 in. square baking pan. Bake 55 to 60 min.; drain (if needed). Let stand 5 min. before serving.

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
3 slices soft white bread, torn into very small pieces
1 cup milk
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Mix ingredients thoroughly. Press into a 9X5X3 inch loaf pan or shape into a loaf. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees about 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven and drain off excess fats.

Easy BBQ

2 lbs. beef stew meat
1 bottle BBQ sauce
----------
Put meat in crock pot. Cover with water. Cook on high 4-5 hours or low 8 hours. Take meat out and cut up. Should be very tender. Pour out juices from crock pot and put meat back in. Pour in BBQ sauce. Stir. Can add some water if desired. Cook 30 min. - 1 hour. Serve on buns.
