You do everything right during your pregnancy and prepare yourself for the birth of a healthy baby, and then something goes wrong. When I woke up after delivering Kim by C-Section on May 3, 1973, the doctors came to see me. They told me my little girl was in the N-ICU and they weren't sure what the problem was - she couldn't breathe on her own and may not survive. It didn't sink in at first - I was still a bit groggy. But when the nurse came in to inform me that a priest had been called in order to baptize Kim, I finally realized something was seriously wrong. Ten days after her birth, Kim was transferred to Children's Hospital in Detroit where she spent the next 6 weeks.
Through the years and with lots of prayers and love, Kim grew up to be a normal, happy and healthy young woman. Kim's the practical joker in the family, picking up where mom left of!! She's managed to hand down many of her favorite pranks to Jonathon and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Joey begins his reign of terror also!!!
Kim met her husband, Brett, on a blind date when she was only 15. They have been together for over 13 years now and married for 5 years. Both Kim and Brett have computer-related jobs. Joey is their only child.
