RESOLUTION NUMBER 99-04
POLICE K-9 BARON
Sergeant Apgar and BARON received many prestigious awards and recognition as a result of the successful K-9 Unit. Due to a duty related injury K-9 BARON retired from active duty in July of 1996. BARON enjoyed his comfortable retirement in the home of the Apgar family, basking in the glow of his accomplishments and observing the continuing accomplishments of his successor Niko. BARON departed this life on February 18, 1999.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Pennridge Regional Police Commission, that BARON is hereby recognized with grateful appreciation for his dedication and service to his handler, Sergeant James D. Apgar, to the Pennridge Regional Police Department, to the Pennridge Regional Police commission, to the communities serviced by the Pennridge Regional Police Department, and the to the communities surrounding which enjoyed the services of Police K-9 BARON. Rest in Peace.
A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION shall be placed in the official Pennridge Regional Police Department K-9 file, and shall be displayed prominently within the Pennridge Regional Police Department headquarters facility.
