Lady Renee's Garden of Links!

Hello and welcome to my gardening links page. As any great gardener knows, half the fun of gardening comes during the fall and winter months when we get comfortable with a stack of gardening magazines, books, & catalogs and do what we fondly call "armchair gardening". It's here that we sometimes get our wild yet "wonderful" ideas- adding a new water pond, designing a rose garden, planning that perfect potting shed, or making that gorgeous gazebo...you get the idea! If you like to dream, like me, of that "perfect garden" spot, then scan on down. I've got some really wonderful gardening links that will inspire you so much, that you might just forget all the hard work from years gone by, and decide that this is the year you'll REALLY make a difference! Despite mosquitos, the heat, aching back, calloused hands, and of course, the WEEDS! : )

Perennials I'm Trying...

As the Spring time approaches, I've been inspired, yet again, to add to my perennial collections. You'll find below a listing of the perennials that I'm going to try in my garden this year.

  • 1 purple/blue "Sieboldi" Clematis
  • 5 MORE Bleeding Hearts (Pink/Rose in color)
  • 2 Bleeding Hearts (white colored)
  • 2 Veronica Speedwells
  • 2 "Zwanenburg Blue" Spiderworts
  • 3 Gloxinias' (lovely med. pink shade)
  • 10 Gladiolus' (dark pink variety)
  • 10 Gladiolus' (gorgeous purple shade)
  • 2 "Sarah Bernhardt" peonies (pink)
  • 4 Peony Pinks (Pink, of course ;) )
  • 8 "Stella D'Oro" Daylilies (lovely shade of yellow)
  • 2 Coreopsis' (sunny yellow)
  • 3 Yellow Coneflowers (mini-sunflower look-alike)
  • 30 Strawberry plants
  • 2 Lady Ferns
  • 1 "Christmas" Fern
  • 2 Lilac bushes
  • 4 Azaleas (Dark Pink)
  • 1 "Heirloom" Rose bush

Well, now that I've actually seen how much I need to plant, I'm a little amazed at how many plants I've purchased over the last week! My hubby is always amazed at how many I come home with, though! Ha ha!
