Something about me
I like cats. This is our cat Twinkle. He’s a 1-1/2 year old black and white shorthair. I’ve taught him to sit up like a prairie dog for a treat. His favorite treat is baby food chicken. He hates cat treats, I don’t know why.
Here's what I looked like right after having Lasik done, 6 days after knee surgery. I guess I was a bit of a sight. The things on my face are eyeshields and medical tape. The lasik worked though. I'm happy with it.
I am an amateur radio operator, a.k.a. a "ham". I really like getting to talk to people from all over.
Amateur radio is useful for more than just chatting, you can use it as emergency communications, for communications during different types of events, and it's very handy when your car breaks down, as I found out. You just have to remember that anyone listening can hear you, so you have to watch what you say.
My right knee's got arthritis already. Here's what it looks like. I just had my 5th arthroscopy on the same knee, it's not fun.
I am a single parent who is trying to learn different things. I have interests in computers, sci-fi and fantasy books, as well as being an avid reader. I am making it on my own, and encourage those with my situation to persevere. It has taken a lot of time and effort, but I have succeeded. You can too.
