Max

Ch. Whitehart's Manpower "max"
Max was an outstanding puppy, and although we hadn't planned on keeping another "boy", there was just something about this happy little guy with the easy going disposition.

And so with the thought, "what's the harm in keeping just one more", Max began his show career. His first ring experience at the Kennel Club Of Buffalo winter show in 1992, was as if he had been there before. Our judge, Eve Whitamore upon giving Max the nod, commented "You will have fun with him", and with that we were off and running.

At age 6 1/2 months we entered Max in the W.H.W.T.C.I. 50th. anniversary specialty show, in Louisville KY. With a sizable entry of 34 puppies, and with chandeliers twinkling overhead, we led our class into the ring. Max was awarded best in sweeps by respected judge Kathleen Kompare.

The following months brought other sweepstakes wins. In April, the W.H.W.T.C.S.E.M. specialty show awarded Max a Best In Sweepstakes in Ann Arbor MI. In August of that same year Max went Best of Opposite In Sweeps at the W.H.W.T.C.N.O. specialty show in Canfield OH. Owner handled, Max completed his championship with several group placements to his credit. Today, Max remains as sound and playfull a dog as ever, and continues to pass on to his offspring his glorious coat, classic head, great bone and terrific disposition.
