Things I Am Looking For
- Looking for birth town on Nicholas Philippi, born about 1803, Homberg, Hesse, Germany - died 10 Jul 1894 in Marion county, OH. Need port and date he left Germany, and port and date he arrived in USA, probably around 1846 to 1848.

NEED - Departure date of Barque Hortensia from Antwerp, Belgium. It arrived in Baltimore, MD, on 6 Jul 1838.

NEED - Reuter information from Bergheim, Hessen-nassau, Prussia, Germany.

- WELCH, Martin, born about 1807 in NY (father born in Ireland) married Jane Sanford, probably in NJ, had two children, then moved to OH where they had five more children. In 1850 OH census, he was in Ottawa county. In 1880 OH census, he was enumerated with his son Benjamin S in Franklin county, Jefferson township. Found him in 1830 census in NJ. I found him, his wife, and his daughter, Amby, buried in Havens Cemetery in Jefferson township, Franklin county, Havens Corner, OH. In 1880, he was a member of Havens Corner Christain Union Church, in Jefferson township.
