I have therefore thought fit and proper to make Ordain and constitute this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

First I remit my body to the dust to be buried at the discretion of my Executors and my Soul unto the hands of God who gave it. And as to worldly goods or prossessions as it hath pleased God to bless me withal I dispose of them as follows.

Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Mary Jones Seay, all my property or whole estate whether real or personal to be by her so managed or disposed of as to enable her to maintain herself and family that may live with her, to educate the younger children to pay all my just debts and whatever necessary expenses may accrue in consequence of my decease.

Item, it is my will that my said wife, Mary Jones Seay, should sit as Guardian for all the younger children until they come of age. And that no division of all property be made among my children until the youngest comes of age. And then that whatever may remain of my property be equally divided among all my children together with their mother if surviving.....

Item In case my said wife, Mary Jones Seay, should decease before the youngest of my children of age then it is my will that my Executors take the guardianship of the minor children and that management of the property which is to be equally divided among all my children as soon as the youngest comes of age viz my five sons Hezekiah, Mathew, Samuel, James, and Reuben Seay and my six daughters viz Polly Bishop, Patsey Brannon, Sally, Judith, Betsey, and Lucy Seay.

And I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Hezekiah Seay and my trusty friend, Thomas Brannon to be the Executor of this my Last Will and Testament revoking, renouncing and declaring, all other wills legacies or bequests by me heretofore made, whether vrbally or in writing to be null and void and declaring this and this only to be my last will and testament. I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this thirteenth day of July in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven.
