Finally, finally... This hot page is up!
My family consists of five members; my father, mother, two younger brothers and myself. Yes, I have a dog too and my darling has a page too!. My parents are self-employed living in the north-east area of Singapore, while I am staying in the west area with my maternal grandma, aunt and cousin. Often, I would go back to my parents' house during the weekends to be with them, bath and walk my dog. Simultaneously, I would help out in the house by doing some simple household.
As for my two brothers, they are presently engaged with some other activities, thus they are also not at home. The brother (David) right after me is undergoing some training, while the youngest (Peter) is serving his National Service (NS) with the army. Due to this reason, he only comes home over the weekends too. Since, my workplace is nearer my grandma's house, I stay with her during the weekdays. Hence, when the family gets together, we often treasure each other; having no time for other arguments.
It is true to say that my family has gone through a great deal in trying to overcome the hiccups that we faced. This is made more difficult because as kids, my brothers and myself don't stay with our parents, hence the bond between ourselves is almost not there at all. I remember that it was almost impossible to communicate with our parents given their working hours and the constant expectation of us to obey them without an utter. My parents were strict with us but unfortunately, this was not enough to prevent the pains that we had to undergo.
Now, we have grown up a bit more and are leading our own lives, things have improved. My mother has made evident efforts to stay up longer to be with us when we are home, despite that she has to get up early to work. She would cook for us and we could talk more things together. My father is more reserved about his concerns but he expressed them by buying things for us to eat or bring us out for dinners. Sounds like a piece of cake that things went well? No, the scars of the past remains but life still goes on. I am thankful for the present as much as the past. Life is not a bed of roses and is different for each person... this makes a 'colourful' world.
Ok, then. Let's look forward to a better tomorrow and may God bless you and your family and mine too :) God bless.
