The Sayings

Christians, Muslims, Jews, and Buddhist, what do they all have in common?  What do they believe in.  What do they practice?  Most believe in a supreme being, a supreme creator, or God.  All religious people say their prayers, each in their own fashion.  Buddhist monks pray using an incense stick placed in a pot.  Christian monks pray in a similar fashion, using candles.  Most believe in alms-giving or charity for the poor.  In Christianity it is loving thy neighbor as thyself, and it is one of the five pillars of Islam.  Another common belief amongst religions is fasting.  Fasting is most often practiced by not eating food for a period of time, but can also include refraining from a certain activity for a period of time.  The scriptures are an important part of any religion.  The bible for the Christians, Talmud for the Jews, Koran for the Muslims, and the sayings of Buddha for the Buddhist.
