The life of an IR Major
at the
University of Windsor
I thought that I would take a few minutes to tell you all about my university career, a bit about the courses, and a lot about the people!!!!
First of all, I should tell you that I am in Honours International Relations (which, if you don't know, is Economics, Political Science and History) and I enjoy it a lot.
Lisa is my closest friend from school. And if you were to ask me how long I've known her, I'd probably say forever, even though it's really only been a couple of weeks (like 2). From the moment that we met, we've been almost inseperable. It's actually kind of odd, 'cause people have even asked us if we're sisters, but I suppose that they just figure we get along too well to have just met! The best part about Lisa is that she's great to study with. And her definitions of topics are something all her own. I've never heard anybody define the clod war like she did ("Russia go 'We got power' US go 'we do too' Russia go 'we got nukes 'US go we do too' Russia go 'we nuke you' US go 'You microwave isn't big enough' Russia go 'Ooops' US go 'Boo!!!' Russia go 'Oh darn! We lost!'.") Lisa makes school fun.

Then, there's Nameer. University is as new to him as it is to the rest of us, but he has an added joy. Canada's new to him too! He's on exchange from Bangledesh, so everything is a learning experience for him. (not that it's obvoius, 'cause I didn't know until Lisa told me). He's learning well. Very well, actually. And just a word of advice about him: Don't challenge him to a game of pool....He'll kick your butt!

I can't forget to mention Merco. He's a really neat guy too, although I have to wonder if his brain is gonna hold up long enough to get him through. He already thinks that Lisa's name is Amanda. I suppose everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but I've seen her birth certificate, and I can assure him, and anyone else who cares, that her name really is Lisa.

Then there's Lucy, who I always want to call Rosa. I think she just looks like a Rosa. The cool thing about her is that she's always smiling. I told her that she has to wear a blue hat so that I can associate it with the sky to remember the song "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" and then I'll never forget her name again.

If I've left anybody out, I appologize, but I'm kinda rushing to get this page up before I've earned my degree.
