The Bouvier des Flandres is native to both the Belgian and the French Flanders. The Bouvier des Flandres was originally used for droving, hauling and churning. The Bouvier des Flandres is a working dog and is built for work. Here in Belgium a working dog cannot win his championship until he has also proven his ability in the working field. As a working dog the bouvier combines brawn with brains to make it highly effective in a range of occupations. As an added advantage the bouvier can put all work aside and become a most docile and playful dog as well.
