Emerald Empire Area/Region

The Emerald Empire Area is one of the geograhical divisions of the Oregon Federation of Square and Round Dancers, the state organization. The Emerald Empire Area is an umbrella organization for square dance clubs in the area that is North to Sweet home, South to Cottage Grove and West to Florence....."from the mountains to the ocean.". Many, but not all of the clubs, within that region belong to the Federation. The Emerald Empire Area promotes square dancing with advertising, and helps host demonstration dances and The Oregon Midwinter Festival. Representatives are elected to represent the area to the Oregon state organization. The Emerald Empire Area is also instrumental in helping provide insurance for dances held by clubs that are members of the Federation.
