JAMES M. NALL PLANTATION CEMETERY HISTORY

The cemetery is on land purchased by James Madison Nall in the Red Level,
Gantt area of Alabama. He moved there from Jasper County, Georgia. The land surrounding the cemetery was sold. The cemetery still remains as
Nall Family Property. James put a wrought iron fence around the cemetery. Years later wrought iron
fences became valuable antiques. This led to the theft of the fence. A farm
style fence of wire and wood post replaced the antique fence. This in time
had deteriorated and was replaced with a chain link fence. This cemetery is a Nall Family Cemetery. There are scheduled work days for cleaning. We have a goal to replace or
repair headstones in the near future. This cemetery is surrounded by private property with a locked gate. Jinx
Dopson has a key to this gate. If you are interested in visiting and helping routine cemetery care contact
