By Air
Kennedy Airport is the closest airport to Rockaway but many
domestic flights bring you to LaGuardia instead. It's a 20 minute
cab ride from Kennedy. LaGuardia can take 15 to 30 minutes longer
depending on traffic. Rockaway is within city limits so you do
not have to pay an out-of-area fee.
