Gemedet & friend Linnea

Gemedet is the daughter of Adia & Riven, from their first litter. I plan to someday (hopefully SOON!) breed her, to get some grey agouti & such. Her mate was going to be an agouti spot male from her mother but I don't know if that will pan out. If Adia doesn't have one by October then I'm going to get a grey agouti named Ashley's Banner from Kate.

Right now Gemedet is living in a ten gallon tank (the same one that her grandmother & mother were born in) with Linnea, one of Eve & Reilly's daughters. When Gemedet gets her mate, I will probably introduce Linnea to Hafwen, who will be alone since Lilith gets her mate.

Gemedet & Uncle Uphill

Gemedet is a sapphire, which is a color only slightly lighter than lilac. Perhaps the picture above will help you tell the difference. That's Gemedet on the left, and her uncle "TDC's Uphill Battle" on the right. I'm not crazy am I?? At any rate I'm pretty sure she's sapphire. Here's another picture to help.

Gemedet is one of my sweetest little girls. She's from Adia's first litter. All of the girls (there was only 1 boy) from that litter are very nice little ladies. They're all big, and slim, and sweet = ) She was the first baby to learn how to climb up my arm. She's gonna have wonderful babies when she *finally* becomes a mother. We're just waiting for the day when Adia will have an agouti spot male (or at LEAST an agouti male! = ) for her boyfriend.

I remember I was soooo surprised when I realized that Gemedet wsa a sapphire! I just kept looking at this little pink mystery and thinking "Shouldn't a lilac be darker?" I knew her dad had a 2 in 3 chance of being Cc(b) but I didn't think I had such luck! But when she was older it was obvious she was no lilac! = ) Here is a picture of her litter.

Gemedet is currently living with a champagne girl, Linnea. Linnea is from Eve & Reilly's third litter and is the most adorable, sweet little girl. She's very photogenic, just like her daddy. Here is a picture of my pretty one!

News for Gemedet!

9/8/98 - I might have found Gemedet a mate!! Assuming Adia doesn't have an agouti spot male before October (which is likely because she's not even pregnant!) I'll be getting a grey agouti from Kate, named Banner. He is the son of Sierra & Whisper, Adair & Danziger's siblings. Cool, huh? They would have at least agouti, grey agouti, black, and slate. Here's a pic of him with his 3 black/slate sibs and 1 argente sib:
