Adia was due to have her 7th litter on February 27th, 1999. She was slightly plump but not very big, so I was guessing she'd have 3 pups. Well sure enough, I woke up the next morning and discovered 3 pups in their little blue dish! However, when I checked back a few hours later... she'd had 5! Wow! I wonder how she managed that ;)

Sadly we lost one of the pups. But, the remaining ones are Carlotta (argente spot F), Alodius (argente M), Mylow (lilac male), and Celosius (argente M).

3/29/99 Unfortunately, Alodius died this afternoon while I was at school =( It was really odd because he seemed FINE this morning before I left =( I think, though, he might have gotten some kind of infection because of his injuries. But he was eating and drinking this morning... We buried him at 3pm.

3/20/99 ::sigh:: Poor little Alodius somehow managed to break his hind foot and cut the other hind foot... since all the other sibs were hasseling him a bit (grooming him constantly, poor little dude) I decided to separate him from the others. He's been nibbling happily on food, and I plan to get some formula tonight, but he's wobbling pathetically on his one half-functioning foot! Poor guy =(

3/19/99 Blinky blinky! Mylow and Alodius both have eyes open... maybe the others too ;) One strange thing I noticed, is Celosius (the "runt" ;) has a bare behind! I SWEAR there was fur there yesterday, but it looks as if one of his parents or older sibs has barbered it off! ::grumble:: poor dude with a cold behind ;)

3/9/99 Well ;) Carlotta is an argente golden spot female, Alodius is an argente golden male, Mylow is a lilac male, and Celosius is an argente golden (maybe spot) runt boy ;)

3/7/99 Unfortunately it looks like we've lost the little agouti male =( (at least, I think it was male). I couldn't find him this morning and as of tonight he's still nowhere to be found =( The remaining pups are 1 argente spot, 1 argente, 1 lilac, and a runt. I ought to check genders tomorrow =)

3/5/99 Hmmm starting to get a bit of fuzz ;) There's definitely 1 lilac and 1 argente, 2 pinkies I'm not sure of, and an agouti =)

3/3/99 Pink little squeakers are so cute ;) The pinkies are getting greyish, hopefully in a few days I'll know what they are. I'm hoping for a lilac spot, they're just so cool! But, they'll probably just all be agouti and argentes like the last 2 litters. (heh... watch, I'll be right). I'm already sure the darkie is an agouti. Speaking of agoutis, their older brother Artemis is being such a darling, he's always sitting on the pups and keeping them warm ;)

2/27/99 The little pups have 2 big brothers and a big sis helping out ;) They're nice and warm.
