Caitriona & Ailish

Happy in their new home

Caiti & Ailish, the two fixed-wrist girls from Lautrera Litter 3, are doing well in their new home just down the street! They live with my sister's friend Jennifer Knapp, and they share her bedroom with two other females, Nancy and Bess, who live in a separate Habitrail setup (which the girls will inherit when the older 2 females pass on). Here are pictures of all four ladies.

Here is Ailish. She is the dominant of the pair, and you can tell, since Caitriona is a lot smaller than her. (BTW Jenn renamed them Adi and Nike = ) But for confusion's sake...)
Here are both of the girls, as you can see, they've grown.
Here is Bess. She's about 2 years old. Jenn got her for Christmas in 1995. Both she and her sister Nancy are VERY big girls.
This is Nancy. She is a VERY pied black, just like her sister, except more dappling of white. She lost half of her tail in about 1996, I forget how but I do remember being called to come and take a look at it.

Well that's all! Jenn has expressed an interest in breeding someday, but she's 10 years old, and her mother said "no" = ) Maybe when she's older, she'll take some. And I've been trying to teach her the virtues of little boy gerbils, in case she'd want a pair of those . . .
