Some ERB Mysteries    

Christian Erb 1703, husband of Maria Wenger, is often listed in error as Nicholas Erb's oldest son and the father of Christian 1734. Here he is treated as a separate and somewhat mysterious individual who might or might not be related to Nicholas, but is certainly not his son. Christophel Erb c1720 was part of the ERB party on the 1737 voyage of the "Charming Nancy" and is said by some sources to be a child of Nicholas (Claus) 1680. Meshack, Esther, and Henry Erb. Henry Erb c1740 immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1773. Nothing is known about him except his name on a ship list, but he may have been the father of Meshack Erb and Esther Erb both of Lampeter Twp. in Lancaster County.
