Tom, the son of William Larkins the carriage maker, grew up in San Francisco, went to business college there, and then worked as a storekeeper for the vast Miller and Lux Ranch in Central California. Later he managed a borax mine, an oil field, and several chemical plants -- all in California. Genevieve, the daughter of Emery Titus Erb, was born in Bear Lake, MI, grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota and worked as a secretary in Monterey, California before she was married. She had children and grandchildren and lived to be 99 years old. |
