This is one of Mary's oil paintings of "the most beautiful meeting of land and water in the world". In addition to landscapes painted in oil and watercolor, she created hand-painted china.   Mary was a school teacher, a home-
maker, a poet, and a registered artist. This photo was taken in Monterey when she was about 57.
