SARAH NICHOLSON (1832-1922)        
and WILLIAM LARKINS (1833-1913)  

The parents of Thomas Larkins were both born in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, Ireland and married in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1865 William started a carriage-making company in San Franciso, California.

The picture was taken in 1912 at the Catholic convent where their daughter Catherine lived as a nun. Sarah had developed a goiter, and William was to die a year later.
