CHRISTMAS THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD

Oh the wonderment of Christmas
Seen in a small child's eyes
Holds a special joy untold
Filled with sweet surprise

The first snowfall is welcomed
They go outside to create
Snow angels fill their thoughts and dreams
Why, they can hardly wait!

Pull out the sled and find a hill
That they can race upon
As cold does bite and makes nose sting
Their hearts are filled with song

The windows at the stores
And houses decked with light
Makes your heart so happy
To see your child's delight

Your tree trimmed out with beauty
And treasures piled below
The weatherman, he promises
A Christmas filled with snow

When time to tuck them in
They find it hard to sleep
But you have work to do
And promises to keep

Why didn't we keep this feeling
Like children who believe
That if you ask dear Santa
Your dreams you will receive?

So fill your children's stocking
With more than gifts this year
And give them what their missing
A little more Christmas cheer
