Independence Oaks Park is located on Sashabaw Rd, about 2.5 miles north of I-75 Exit 89.

We are suggesting an $8.00 per family donation for the reunion, payable by mail or at the reunion, to cover our costs.

There is an entry fee to get into the park. Tell the gate attendant that you are attending the reunion and you will only be charged the resident entry fee.

We have reserved the Lake Point Shelter, at star#2 on the map.

This shelter is close to the swimming area, boat house and rest rooms.

The shelter has a capacity of about 80 people.

There is a large charcoal grill for cooking. Charcoal will be provided.

There are also a sand volley ball court, playground and horseshoe pit nearby.

We will have a pot luck lunch at 1:00. Bring a dish to share, something to drink and something to throw on the grill if you wish. We will provide cups, plates, napkins and plasticware.

LODGING

There are numerous hotels and motels in all price ranges just off I-75 in Auburn Hills, Michigan, about 20 minutes south of the park. There are public and private camp grounds available north of the park off I-75.

SUPERMARKET

There is a supermarket and drugstore on Sashabaw Rd just south of I-75 exit 89.
