Beverlie Bernice Hardesty, 66, of 15452 CR 274, died Friday January
5, 1996
at Arlington Court Nursing Home in Upper Arlington, Ohio.
Born November 11, 1929, in Tyndal, she was the daughter of the late
Warren
and Ethel (Senter) Cox.
After taking an early retirement from the Western Electric Company in
Columbus, Ohio, she worked for several years as secretary for the Western
District Manager of H & R Block in Columbus, Ohio. After
full retirement
she and her husband moved back to Coshocton County.
On August 4, 1946 she married James Richard Hardesty, Sr. of Conesville,
Ohio. Together they raised seven children: Gwendolyn Oliver and
Joycelyn
Coppock of Coshocton; Jerilyn Cartwright of Virginia Beach, Virginia;
James
Richard Hardesty, Jr. of Forest Park, New York; Miriam Diehl of Lancaster,
Ohio; John Dean Hardesty of Columbus; and Mary Beth Hardesty of Wills
Creek.
She was the grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 13.
She is survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother: Hilda Thomas of Coshocton;
Doris
Slaughter and Beryl Cox of Tyndal; and Elnora Welsh of Columbus.
She is
also survived by numerous neices, and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by a sister, Clesson Hart, and a brother, Max Cox.
Beverlie was a member of the Summit United Methodist Church of Columbus,
Ohio, but had recently been attending the Conesville United Methodist
Church. She had a lifetime commitment to involvement in numerous
community
activities.

Graveside
services were in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus, Ohio on January
10, 1996.
Pallbearers were her six adult grandsons.
