Edward Hardesty

Funeral services for Edward Hardesty, aged 83, who died Friday morning
at
the home of his son John Hardesty, near New Moscow, will be held Sunday
at
the Chalfants church. Thhe cortege will leave the house at 12:30 o'clock.
Rev. W. E. Hopkins, of Conesville, will be in charge, and burial will
be
made in the Chalfants cemetery.
Edward Hardesty was born and reared in the Chalfants vicinity. He had
been
making his home with his children since the death of his wife 15 years
ago,
and had just gone to his son John's home Thursday. He became ill Thursday
afternoon. Death was due to an attack of indigestion.
He is survived by four sons, Frank, Howard and Noah of Conesville, and
David
Hardesty of Illinois; one daughter, Mrs William Mills of Adams Mills
vicinity; 32 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is the
last of a
family of 13 children.

NOTE: This is Elisha Edmond Hardesty. Also son Frank is actually Henry
Jackson Hardesty of Conesville who was sometimes called Hank.
