House of my first Harvey ancestor in America. The site is on the west side of the Brandywine River. On the back of this picture, taken in 1921, it is written that this vulnerable old building had already stood 61 years before the Liberty Bell rang. This Harvey House has been restored and today is part of the tour of the Pennsylvania State Historical Society. It is in Kennet (now Pennsbury), Chester County, Pa., northwest of Chadd's Ford on Brinton's Bridge Rd. off US 1.
