House of my first Harvey ancestor in America. The site is on the west side of the Brandywine River. On the back of this picture, taken in 1921, it is written that this vulnerable old building had already stood 61 years before the Liberty Bell rang. This Harvey House has been restored and today is part of the tour of the Pennsylvania State Historical Society. It is in Kennet (now Pennsbury), Chester County, Pa., northwest of Chadd's Ford on Brinton's Bridge Rd. off US 1. Claude and Mattie (Dickens) McGraw with daughter Annetta Mae. .. Joseph Alfred Ligget and his mother Jane Elizabeth (Johnston) Ligget Essie Ligget(on left)with her first husband Joseph Mooter. I'm not sure who the lady on the right is. Annetta (McGraw) Roby on left and Gertrude (Ligget) Roby on right. Raymond Roby with son's Shannon and John. .. Rear building is the Opera House and the front building is Price's Store.
