SPIRIT OF THE MINISTRIES
" N A 4 J "
...WORD FOR THE DAY...
" Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. " PSA 16:11
As we walk the path of life, we must find the direction in which we are to
go. We must choose between following the path the Creator (God) set before us,
or to follow our own desires, our own path.
When we follow our own path, the Bible (his word) says that it leads to
destruction. When we make our own decisions, we do not have the guidence and
protection of the Creator (God). We become solely responsible for our actions
and must face the consequences alone.
This is where the evil spirit (Satan) wants us to be. Unprotected and without
hope, relying on our own strength. There is too much evil in the world for us
to fight alone. We are no match by ourselves to fight the forces of darkness,
the forces of the evil one (Satan).
But if we follow the path that the Creator (God) set before us, we will find
comfort, strength, and protection. His words say that he "...will shew us the
path of life ". PSA 16:11 He will give us direction in all that we do. As
long as we seek him, we can know that in whatever lies before us we do not face
alone.
His word says that " he will encamp his angels (spirits) around us ". PSA 34:7
This is how that we know that we do not walk the path alone. He said " he would
never leave us or forsake us ". HEB 13:5
When we choose to walk our own path, we sometimes become confused, discouraged,
and even depressed. We feel no sense of belonging, no hope, and even unloved.
When we face our problems, we feel there is no-where or no-one to turn to.
We are all alone fighting the spirit of depression without any weapons. " When
the enemy comes in like a flood... ", we have no strength to fight. We are weak
and afraid.
But if we follow the path of the Creator (God), " When the enemy comes in like
a flood, he will lift up a standard against it ". ISA 59:19 He will give us the
strength necessary to battle.
He says that " in his presence is fulness of joy ". PSA 16:11 No more fighting
depression, discouragement, or loneliness by yourselves. As long as we follow his
path, in our discouragement he encourages; in our loneliness he gives comfort; and
in our depression, he turns it into joy. He will give us the ability to endure any
hardships or problems we face.
When we follow our own path, it is easy to find ourselves deep in a sense of
sadness. Joy disappears and is replaced with rejection. An emptiness fills our
heart, a void that can not be filled.
Some try to fill that void with alcohol, some try drugs, and others with the
lusts of the flesh. From this they get a false sense of pleasure, but it doesn't
last. The word says " it is better to suffer affliction with the people of God than
to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season ". HEB 11:25 Unfortunately, after the
pleasure is over, the consequences still remain. Those consequences lead to death-
" For the wages of sin is death ". ROM 6:23 When we follow our own path, the ways
of the world, we only find temporary pleasures, not something that lasts.
But when we follow the path of the Creator (God), we find pleasure without end. His
word says " at thy right hand there are pleasures evermore ". PSA 16:11 We can
rest assure that through the Creator (God) our hearts will be filled with everlasting
joy.
To know that our sins will be forgiven through the shed blood of the Son, Jesus
Christ, is a far greater pleasure than anything the world can offer us. The pleasure
which comes from the Creator (God) can not be taken away, doesn't leave you wanting,
and it doesn't cost you anything. It is the free gift of grace.
Get to know the Creator (God), call out to him from your heart and learn of his
love for you. Go to him with repentence in your heart and be filled with fulness
of joy.
As you walk the path the Creator (God) leads you on, know that as you follow him
"you will go out in joy and be lead forth in peace ". ISA 55:12
