Very charming web site. Just beginning to compile O'Connor tree info--centering around Chicago and Cincinnati. Picked up the nickname while serving in Derry from '68-'70 at a US Naval Communications Station; on frequent trips to the Republic, had NO luck ith genealogy, and gave it up 'til now. Don't I wish the Internet had been around back then! The one thing I did learn is that O'Connors, O'Conors, O'Conners, etc., are wonderful characters regardless of which branch of the tree they blossomed from.

Again, forgot to mention that we did more research and discovered that in the 1901 Canadian census, William O'C. immigrated in 1848. This is Madeline's gg grandfather. Her ggg grandfather Charles died in gracefield qc. therefore we assume the family all c me together. Regards.
