PIONEERS conestoga wagon AND
patriotPATRIOTS

Though my family research only began a few years ago, I have found good reason to be proud of the contributions my ancestors played in the founding of this country.

One of my earliest colonial families, the STOUT's, was present in the colonies by the mid 1600's. Other's found their way by the early and mid 1700's.

Many came to escape religious persecution, but most to find a new way of life in a new land.

They settled, for the most part, in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina then "points west" to Ohio and Iowa. The table below lists my family names. As a page is added for each name, a hyperlink will be provided in this table. Until then, if you share a family name, feel free to e-mail me and we will see if there is a connection.

Perhaps we have a family in common. Come with me to share the stories and the pride.

This site is, of course, continually under construction - stop by often.
