Seek info on ancestors of Johan Nicol Unbehaun II, born in Unterhain (records at Ev-Luth. Church in Oberhain) Jan 1801. No birth record of Johan Nicol I in Oberhain. LDS Church as a record of a Nicol Unbehaun born just to the east in Doesnitz around 1666 and his son, Michael, born in 1700. Trying to link that Nicol up to my Johan Nicol (believe the occurrence of "Nicol" is not coincidental). Know all I need to know on the USA side; interested in speaking with German Unbehaun's descended from my great- great grandfather.

DILLERMeiningen Barbara Diller
Looking for information on the family of JOHN DILLER, my great-grandfather, and the father of German artist, Frederick DILLER. Frederick was the father of artist Helmut DILLER. I have been in contact with Helmut's daughter, but she knows very little about her family's background. HUGEBACK or HUGEBACH Oldenburg LeAnn Hugeback
Tracing the HUGEBACK or HUGEBACH family roots. According to the 1860 US Census for Wisconsin, Joseph and Elisabeth HUGEBACK or HUGEBACH had immigrated from Oldenburg Germany with their son Arnold and daughter-in-law Gertrude? around 1850. I know that a majority, if not all the Indiana HUGEBACK's are ancestors of Henry B. or Henrique? HUGEBACK born in 1843 in Oldenburg, Germany. He died in 1929. Henry married Clara SCHROEDER. I am looking for Joseph, Elisabeth and Henry's ancestors, in hopes that they came from the same family line that originated from Oldenburg,Germany in the 1850's. Henry B. is possibly their son, who immigrated from Oldenburg, Germany on 11 Jun., 1861 from Breman to Baltimore on the ship "Albert". Henry traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio then to Indiana where he settled. It is possible that Henry was Joseph and Elisabeth's son, Arnold's brother. Joseph and Elisabeth are listed as being born in Prussia. The HUGEBACK line that I'm researching immigrated around 1850 to Sauk County, Wisconsin, then on to Iowa.

ROMMEL Bad Liebenstein, Thuringia John Tallman
I am seeking information on my great-great grandfather, Georg Rommel, who was the choolmaster and the cantor of the Lutheran Church in Liebensten. I do not know his date of birth, but he died in 1855. In 1858 his widow, Margaret Maria Stuart Rommel, emigrated to the US with three minor sons, my great-grandfather, John Robert Alexander, Emil and Rudolph. At least one child, a daughter Anna remained in Germany. Georg Rommel's father was Bernard who is believed to have likewise been schoolmaster/church cantor in Liebenstein. Georg Rommel was a protoge of Friederich Froebel having composed music for Froebel's kindergarten and served as a pall bearer at Forebel's funeral in Liebenstein in 1852, just three years before his own death. It's possible Georg Rommel also was a steward in the Weimar Court.

These are Dutch BIERÄUGELS. We are working together to find contact with more BIERÄUGEL people in Germany. We feel these families connect.
