2000 Weeklong Seminar

Mt. Sopris

In June 2000 I participated in my second weeklong seminar in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, which is in the mountains about 3.5 hours west of Denver. The training classes were held outside on the soccer fields at Colorado Mountain College with beautiful Mt. Sopris as our backdrop.

With nothing to do but train, eat, and sleep for an entire week, it was a wonderful break from the busy-ness and pressures of balancing everything that I find on my plate on a daily basis. Of course the hot springs, vapor caves, and the Yampah Spa were put to good use, as well!

By the end of the week, I finally convinced my husband that he really did need to experience Hanging Lake and Spouting Rock this year, so the few of us who were hanging on to Colorado for as long as possible took a hike. We started out early while it was pretty cold, but the payoff was the stillness and solitude of the mountains on a summer morning.

Pictures are a poor substitute for actually being there, but they are better than any words I could use, so someday I will actually post the photos -- if I can still find them!
