I received the following e-mail from Bob Stewart..... "Just found the SE Wash Web site but because it's 1:00 a.m. I won't say much now, but later. Anacostia HS grad of 1965.  Lived on Galen St. which was a side street off 16th Street.  Frequented Spillway bowling alley on old Nichols Ave.

Then Margaret Mitchell wrote:
"I lived in Anacostia from 1958 until 1969 (back in the good old days).
I graduated from Anacostia High in 1969.
I also attended Kramer Jr. High and Ketcham Elementary.
We lived on Galen Street which was off of 16th and Good Hope Road.
I enjoy reminiscing about those good old days,
back in Anacostia.        Sincerely,Margaret Mitchell"

Blaine Adams also found the site and wrote:
"I have really been out of touch.  Left Anacostia in 1962, worked a year, and then to college for four years.  Graduated with a degree in psychology and met a wonderful women, Cheryl, who I would marry in 1966.  We have two grown children, Kim 31 and Brett 27.  I am the supervisor or social studies for the Calvert County Public Schools in Maryland.  This is my 31st year in the public schools in Maryland, having taught 24 years in PG county, at DuVal High School, then Gwynn Park, then to CCPS and Northern High School, and now at the BOE with this position following my Masters at Western Maryland University......"
"I run into Anacostia alumni infrequently.  The one I keep up with most often is an old fraternity brother of mine 'Alpha Pi Epsilon' APES from Anacostia, Brian Richardson.  Brian graduated 1963 or 64.  See occasionally Tilford Hinson or his brother Bruce whenever I need glasses.  They have an office in Waldorf - though I used to visit them in New Carrollton.  My brother Steve, '59 or '60 is a retired DC fireman and lives in Kenly, NC and works now for Fed Ex as a deliveryman."
My yearbooks long ago disappeared - either with Steve or lost in a flood or pitched by mom while away at college. "

Since Blaine lost his year books I sent him the following picture ...
