Andrew and John came from Ballybay, County Monaghan, Ireland, in 1764 with Rev. Dr. Thomas Clark in 1764. They settled first at Stillwater, on the Hudson River, and then moved on to Salem, New York, in 1767. They served in Capt. McNitt's Co., Webster's Regt. in the Revolutionary War.
