This is the first quilt Mary finished, though
the second top she pieced. Son Walter picked the color scheme. The picture
to the left was taken the night she gave Walter the completed quilt. How
nice to know that a grown son wants to cuddle up in a gift from his mother!

The colors are truer in the photo of the entire quilt. This is also a log cabin design. All squares have the same light fabrics. However, there are two color schemes used for the dark portion of the squares.... purple, and green. I love the way the placement of the squares in this quilt created a cross within a cross.
