April 2000
4/1
Today I had to take my wife, June, to the emergency room for stomach
pains.
She was admitted to the hospital. On 4/2 they removed a 3 inch section
of intestine that had been trapped in a hernia in the belly wall. The
hernia
was the result of major abdominal surgery she had 25 years ago that
never
healed right. The main problem was she was allergic to the suture
material,
and it abscessed. The surgeon was unable to repair the hernia because
they
still use the same material for patching hernias. She was released on
4/9,
still very sore, but able to walk, a little.
4/2
Georgia Sue McClellan finally responded today with a short message and
seemingly questioning the data I sent her. I sent her additional
information.
(note 5/9: She has never responded again.)
