I am Leon Wilson. We live on the North shore of Grapevine Lake in Flower Mound TX. I am a retired Engineer. My main hobby is Genealogy. I have been working in the genealogy area for 50 years.

That includes variant spellings. They have a biannual meeting, keep genealogy and historical records of our ancestors, publish a Quarterly and some do research.

The books "The Bourlands In America" and "Loving Family In America" were written by Carl and May Read. I have the genealogy data from these books on my computer.
I add all additional data that is submitted and keep an up to date index. The two indexes have more than 70,000 names.

The original book "The Bourlands In America" was published in 1978. If you are interested in the preface and introduction you can click here to VIEW BOURLAND INFORMATION. I have not included the original Section headings because of the many changes that have been made.
The original "Loving Family In America" was published in 1981. We have made many corrections and additions to the original data in the last 23 years.

If you are a Bourland descendant in the E Section and a descendant of James Spears Bourland and Mary Hudspeth, you may have a Royal Heritage thru Mary Hudspeth. (Be sure to read the note in the lineage at the 11th generation).
