Seems some people built a temple, a long time ago

With strong sturdy pillars; erected in a beautiful row

It was a strong test of their grace & skill

...................as they all came together to fashion their own will

They reflected on its beauty, its grandeur & glow

"Rust & Age can never touch you" they said;

................."or even be considered your foe"!

Seems some parents also built a temple

Without the rock, mortar or lime

Love & Kindness were the foundations they laid;

to endure for an eternity of time

They laid each stone with a ferverent prayer

adding compassion, forgiveness & unconditional care

No one praised their unceasing efforts

No one knew of their wonderous plan......

For the temple the parents built

was unseen by the eyes of man

Gone is the Builder's temple,

Crumbled into the dust;

..........Low lies each stately pillar,

..........Alongside the arches of rust

But .............the temple the Parents built

Will last while the ages roll,

For that beautiful unseen temple

Was a child's immortal soul.
