Chapter 54 Livestock
54-601: 54-601.  Dogs; personal property; owner liable for damages.
Dogs are  hereby  declared  to  be personal property for all intents and purposes, and the owner or owners of any dog or dogs shall be liable for any and all damages that  may          accrue
(1)  to any person, other than a trespasser, by reason of  having been bitten by any such dog or dogs and
(2) to any person, firm, or corporation by reason  of  such  dog  or  dogs  killing,           wounding, injuring, worrying, or chasing any person or persons or any  sheep  or  other  domestic animals belonging to such person,       firm, or corporation. Such damage may be recovered in any  court having jurisdiction of the amount claimed.


54-602.  Dogs owned by different persons; joint liability.
 If two or more dogs owned by different persons shall  kill,  wound,  chase  or worry any sheep or other domestic animal, such persons shall be jointly and  severally liable for all damage done by such dogs.

54-604.  Dogs; killing; when permitted
 Any  person shall have the right to kill any dog found doing any damage as mentioned in  sections  54-601 and          54-602  to any sheep or domestic animal, or if he shall have just and reasonable ground to believe that such dog has been  killing, wounding, chasing or worrying such sheep or animal; and no action shall be maintained for such killing.
