I must first beg your pardon for not sending you an answer long before this. I was very happy to receive your letter also to find that you were well and pleased with your situation. I hope that this will find you well as it leaves me. I have been to see Mrs Armstrong twice. Elisa has been very sick. She is a little better now. Mr and mrs Mills are well. The time has seemed long since you left but I hope that we shall soon meet. I am going to see my folks about the first of November and I shall come through N Haven. Please write to me as soon as you receive this. You must not think that I have forgoten.
